چکیده
Abstract Shear-wave splitting (SWS), or the propagation of two independent shear waves, can be used as an indicator seismic anisotropy. In this study, we utilize concept using aftershock data 2018 Lombok earthquake which had been acquired in period August 4 – September 9, 2018. The goal research is to better understand crack distribution related rupture zone earthquake. After applying instrument correction data, waveform were then windowed each P and S arrival time. To determine SWS parameters, performed rotation horizontal seismogram components. components rotated from azimuth 0° 180° with increment 1°. Cross-correlation coefficient (CCC) was determined for angle. polarization direction delay time chosen parameters shown highest value CCC.

Estimation of the Depth of Anisotropy Using Spatial Coherency of Shear-Wave Splitting Parameters
Shear-wave splitting (SWS) analyses are essential in understanding the structure and dynamics of the Earth’s deep interior. While splitting measurements have excellent horizontal resolution relative to other anisotropy-measuring techniques, their vertical resolution is low due to the steep incidence angle of the seismic phases used by the analyses. Here, using synthetic and real data, we presen...
متن کاملANN FOR CORRELATION BETWEEN SHEAR WAVE VELOCITY OF SOIL AND SOME GEOTECHNICAL PARAMETERS
Shear wave velocity (Vs) is known as one of the fundamental material parameters which is useful in dynamic analysis. It is especially used to determine the dynamic shear modulus of the soil layers. Nowadays, several empirical equations have been presented to estimate the shear wave velocity based on the results from Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and soil type. Most of these equations result i...

متن کاملAutomation of Shear-Wave Splitting Measurements using Cluster Analysis
The propagation of two orthogonally polarized shear waves, or shearwave splitting, is arguably the most robust indication of seismic anisotropy in the Earth. This splitting can be parameterized in terms of the polarization of the fast shear-wave and the lag time between fast and slow components dt. These two parameters provide constraints on the mechanism causing the anisotropy. All methods of ...
